This comedy is about the lives and loves of the highly learned in the halls of higher education. With wicked wit and finely tuned dialogue this will appeal to your love of theatre.
Here’s a comedy about the lives and loves of the highly learned in the halls of higher education, or as one lecturer describes it, “an endless stream of intellectual toads, known as the academic faculty.” Charles is an accomplished writer beginning his post as Lakeside U. as Writer-In-Residence. He is writing a new novel. Myra is on the Faculty and is writing a book on Charles. Both are in their prime and both are priming. The situation is set, the plot develops and a relationship lurks. Also lurking is Bobbi, a delicious undergrad with aspirations to poetry and to Charles. The wit is wicked, the dialog is finely tuned comedy. Stratton’s play sparkles with a writer’s love of fooling around and he has a clever ending that will tickle your love of theatre.
“Stratton’s love of theatre and of people illuminates his work… Packed with crisply funny lines, Stratton has almost certainly conjured up another hit.”

By Norm Foster
Directed by Graham Clements
Produced by Chuck Learn
Mending Fences portrays human drama that is relevant to anyone who has ever been a parent, a son or a daughter, which includes us all. It tells a story that spans two generations but takes place over a few days. It is a powerful play that uses hockey as the symbol of a powerplay between father and son. Foster’s magic is in his ability to weave pathos with humour without ever confusing the audience about whether it’s time to laugh or cry. An excellent script supported by superb acting makes this a powerful play and a must-see for everyone who appreciates the magic of live theatre.
“Norm Foster is our most-produced playwright for a reason: he’s very, very funny.”

A wonderfully affecting comedy
By Nick Hall
Directed by Tom Levely
Come and meet Charlie, an out-of-work actor making ends meet as a waiter in New York City. He’ll take you on a trip through his madcap life in the restaurants of the Big Apple. Laugh until the tears roll as he interacts with the crazy and not quite so crazy antics of his customers. He’ll keep you enthralled with his life, a life that is a metaphor for youth and its crises.
“Charlie,” writer Nick Hall tell us, “has two basic weapons to use against life; they are a dazzling smile, and a boyish grin; both are pretty effective, and Charlie knows it.” You’re sure to know it too, because he’ll engage you like an old friend.
“A sharp, stunning play. It’ll make you howl, but better, it might even make you sniffle a bit.” –Fort Lauderdale News
“Tightly written and very entertaining. I recommend it enthusiastically.” The Miami Herald.

A murder mystery with comedy, and a comedy with murder and mystery,
By Rob Urbinati
Directed by Michael Hannigan
We admit it, we love a good murder mystery, and when it comes with wit and laughter, we love it even more.
What happens when you mix the brilliant wit of Noel Coward with the Intricate plotting of Agatha Christie? After a disastrous opening night of his new play, Edward Bennett and his actress wife Sorel flee London and head to the country house. Various guests arrive and of course a murder happens, setting the scene with a cacophony of characters. The murder, it seems, is less than a mortal emergency and more of a feast for wit and hilarity, especially once the brandy is gone and they’ve moved on to the gin.
Come and enjoy writer Urbinati’s delightful tale of sophisticated skulduggery. You won’t be disappointed.
“ ‘Death by Design’ is definitely a major must-see.” – The Forecaster.
